While working at a local food pantry, I realized that there are many individuals in my community that experience not only food insecurity, but also difficulty in accessing books as they lacked have the time or resources to go regularly to the public library.

I want to impact low-income communities in my neighborhood as well as individuals/families who are housed in shelters due to domestic violence and/or sex trafficking with donated books so that they may have easy and free access to books.

Along with other like-minded students, A Library Within Reach is a youth-run non-profit 501 3(c) organization whose mission is to promote the joy of reading by providing free and easy access to books to shelters and organizations that serve low-income families and at-risk youth.
